Quartetto "con Moto"

The String Quartet Con Moto was founded in 2009 under the guidance of Hanna Widl in their hometown Mödling, Austria. The young musicians have won numerous first prizes at the national competition „Prima la musica“ both as soloists and as an ensemble. In 2009 they were invited to play a concert at the Charles Hennen Concours in Heerlen, Netherlands. They also player concerts in Malta, Italy and Germany in the subsequent years. They give concerts in Austria regularly. Moreover, the Quartet have been guests at chamber music festivals such as the „Klangbogen Festival Mödling“, Kalkalpen Chamber Music Festival in Austria and the International Haydndays 2015. In 2012 and 2013 the young Quartet got a scholarship for the renowned chamber music festival „isa – International summer academy“ where they got the opportiunity to work with numerous important musicians and teachers of the chamber music world such as Andras Keller (Keller Quartet), Evgenia Epshtein (Aviv Quartet), Petr Prause (Talich Quartet) and Miguel da Silva (Quatuor Ysaye). In 2015 the young musicians were awarded the „HAJEK & BOSS & WAGNER prize“. Since 2014 they have been studying chamber music with Prof. Johannes Meissl of the Artis Quartet at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Furthermore, the Con Moto Quartet works frequently together with Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartet).
