Palazzo Comunale

Palazzo Comunale Varese
Palazzo Comunale Varese
Via Sacco, 5
Palazzo Estense was commissioned in the second half of the 1700s by Francesco III d'Este, duke of Modena and Lord of Varese, and designed by Giuseppe Bianchi. Today the palazzo serves as city administration headquarters. The beautiful Estense room, originally designed as a music room for the duke and decorated with splendid frescoes, hosts conferences and concerts. The internal façade looks out over the Estense gardens, a superb Italian-style park that Stendhal called the "Versailles of Milano". From the top, enjoy a great view of the city of Varese.
