Located on the main floor of Palazzo Bagatti Valsecchi, which was restructured in the 1880s in Neo-Renaissance style, the sumptuous former home of brothers Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi is today the site of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum. It was here that the two Milanese noblemen displayed works of especially collected art in a rich setting that took its cue from tastes prevalent during the Renaissance in Lombardy. The collection boasts old masters like Giovanni Bellini and Giampietrino, majolicas, Renaissance glasswork, 15th-century decor, ivory and gold pieces, weapons and armor. All within a magically alluring atmosphere created under the careful supervision of the two Bagatti Valsecchi brothers.
