This grandiose complex was as early as 1682 a part of the Theatrum Sabaudie and one of the Savoy rulers’ “residences of pleasure”, crowning the capital of the Duke of Savoy. The impressive series of structures was built between the mid-1600s and 1700s. Restoration was completed in 2007 following a long period of abandon. The complex features a centuries-old hamlet and vast garden, now restored to all their Baroque spectacularity, and is also the site of a fully equipped performance space.
