As a child prodigy, Albéniz toured the world, amazing audiences with his virtuosity at the piano. His compositions from the late 19th and early 20th centuries turned classical music enthusiasts into lovers of the rhythms, melodies and colors of his native Spain. He is rightly considered a leading cultural ambassador.
