Italy underwent great change in the 1960s and ’70s. It was the time of an economic boom, the first family vacations by the sea, out of town excursions, the guitar and the “beat” sound, up until the so-called “years of lead” and terrorism. The society’s songs changed too – the way the were written and what they meant to people’s everyday lives. This performance takes us back to the events of that period through a voice over the radio of a yellow FIAT 500, symbol of an age for which the soundtrack was provided by Paoli, Tenco, De Andrè, Endrigo, Battisti, Guccini, Area, Finardi and others.
