Regretfully MITO SettembreMusica announces the cancellation of the concert appearance by Yellow Magic Orchestra scheduled for Thursday, September 10, in Torino. Unfortunately, this comes in the wake of news that keyboardist and founding member Ryuichi Sakamoto would not be available for what was to be one of the group’s increasingly rare performances since the release of their first album in 1978. While Sakamoto’s reasons for the cancellation were not completely clear, MITO SettembreMusica, which itself had nothing to do with the decision of the artist, apologizes for the inconvenience.
