On Thursday Sept. 3rd 6 p.m. at Palazzo Turati in the seat of the Milano Chamber of Commerce (via Meravigli 9), MITO will conclude its series of Music Appreciation Seminars, as part of its new initiative "MITO Educational", with Giovanni Bietti: A musician, composer, and musicologist presenting Listening to an Orchestra explaining the complexities of an orchestra, how it functions, and how better to appreciate an orchestral performance. Using Beethoven’s famous Eroica Symphony and with the help of images, recorded musical excerpts as well as examples played live on the piano the audience will have a better understanding of how a musical score is realized for the complex structure that is an orchestra.
