Located inside Palazzo Graneri della Roccia, which dates back to the late 17th century, designed by Gianfrancesco Baroncelli, the Circolo dei Lettori replaced the Circolo degli Artisti in 2006. Long before it became a setting for art and literature circles, the palazzo, with its walls in stone locally mined in nearby Gassino, was a center for Savoy diplomatic affairs and celebrations, including the famous “victory dinner” after Torinese forces fended off a siege by the French in 1706.
