Twenty-three-year-old percussionist Simone Rubino is a rising star in great demand all over the world. He’s put together a program for MITO that alternates the movements of a Bach suite with their imaginary counterparts from the 20th century. A curious piece by Casey Cangelosi stands out: it features dance and playback.
