The Liebesliederwalzer composed by Brahms are light, catchy and joyful, and are also brimming with tenderness and harmonic allure. Listening to the two collections is a chance to step back and enjoy what we might call household music of the 1800s. The program is rounded out by delightful miniatures by Wolfgang Rihm.
