MUSIC AT HOME
Milano / Tuesday 13 September 2016Teatro Martinitt / at 09:00 PM
At the dawn of the 19th century it was in vogue to transcribe famous pieces for pairs of melodic instruments, so that they could be played at home easily. Two flutes, two violins or two clarinets would take on choice pages and arias that were all the rage. This program revives that spirit, with evocative instrumental variations and a pair of quartets with unusual formations.
