Among string instruments, cellos are the most ductile. They provide support for violins and violas, yet they also possess powerful melodic possibilities. That’s why a quartet of cellos brings to mind a miniature orchestra. And the very particular seasons featured in these performances – all metamorphoses of scores originally created for other groups – back that up.
