KRONOS
The Kronos Quartet reinterprets the sound of the string quartet as it plays music that is alternately energized and delicate. The program features a transcription of a 1970s hit by the rock band the Who, a song by the Syrian singer Omar Souleyman, a masterpiece by minimalist Steve Reich, and one of Laurie Anderson’s most ethereal pieces. The audiences can look forward to a universe of sound that’s sure to make minds and hearts dance.
