Italian pianist Marino Nahon graduated with honours in piano at the “Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, where he also specialized in vocal chamber music. He continued his studies with Piero Rattalino, Pietro Soraci and Michele Fedrigotti, and he attended courses at Internationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum in Salzburg, Académie de Villecroze, Académie de musique de Lausanne and elsewhere, under such artists as Paul Badura-Skoda, Dalton Baldwin, Antonio Ballista, Phillip Moll, Bruno Canino, Irwin Gage, Alexander Lonquich and Norman Shetler. He has performed as a soloist, as a chamber musician and as a Lied accompanist in various concert halls in Italy (Turin: Sala 500 del Lingotto; Rom: Villa Torlonia, Teatro di Marcello; Venice: Palazzo Albrizzi; Parma: Casa della Musica; Genoa: Palazzo Ducale; Orvieto: Teatro Mancinelli; Naples: Fondazione Humaniter; Stresa: Festival Dino Ciani; Alessandria: Auditorium Pittaluga; Milan: Sala Verdi and Sala Puccini of the Conservatory, Festival MITO – Settembre Musica, Società dei Concerti), in France (Paris: “Atelier Concerts”; Saint-Germain-en-Laye: Musée Debussy; Aix-en-Provence: “Concerts d'Aix”; Biot: Festival “Les Heures musicales”), in Germany (Lübeck: Großer Saal der Musikhochschule), in UK (Stratford-upon-Avon: Shakespeare Institute; Godalming: Charterhouse; Ely: Hayward Theatre; Colchester: University of Essex), in Japan (Kyoto: Fumin Hall ALTI), in South Korea (Seoul: Museum of Art National University), in Taiwan (Taipei: National Theatre), in Turkey (Ankara: Hacettepe University Concert Hall). He is also an active performer of twentieth century and contemporary music, and he played, in first performances, works by Sonia Bo, Federico Gardella, Luca Cori, Irlando Danieli, Giuliano Zosi. He has recorded for labels Classica Viva, Sarx Records, Milanocosa-Excogita, Rohm Music Foundation, for the italian broadcasting station Radio Classica and for the web tv Limenmusic. Nahon has studied composition with Bruno Zanolini at the Milan Conservatory and musicology with Emilio Sala at the Università degli studi of Milan, where he graduated with honours: he is the author of several musicological essays, which appeared in magazines such as «Musica e Storia» and «Musicalia – Annuario internazionale di studi musicologici».
