The Bamberger Symphoniker with Jakub Hrůša close MITO with Brahms. His Third Symphony does not end in triumph: the last movement dissolves into the quiet peace of the opening theme – one of the most unexpected epilogues in symphonic literature. Next, the Concert No. 2: Brahms ironically called it “a small piece”, despite it being among the longest and most complex in the repertoire. A farewell that speaks of harmony as mutual listening.
