TWO MASTERPIECES ON THE SEINE
Bryce Dessner – an American composer based in Paris – provides us with the only concert for two pianos and orchestra written in recent years that has become a contemporary standard. It also happens to be a masterpiece. So was the symphony Mozart wrote during his stint in Paris. Too bad it remained underrated for so long.
