FROM NAPLES TO PARIS
Round about the year 1760, a crew of Neapolitan mandolin players was invited to play at the Tuileries Palace – and Paris went wild for an instrument whose potential until then had gone unnoticed. This program delves back into those outrageous times, swooping down onto what might very well be considered the golden age of the mandolin.
