This performance features music by Americans George Gershwin and Michael Daugherty, and French composers Maurice Ravel and Francis Poulenc. Jazz, of course, inspired the two Americans, but it also proved a powerful force to be exploited by the two French composers. A musical program that’s a concentration of light, vitality and blue notes.
