Andrea Rebaudengo was born in Pesaro. He studied piano with Paolo Bordoni, Lazar Berman, Alexander Lonquich, Andrzej Jasinsky and composition with Danilo Lorenzini. He won the first prize at Pescara's International Piano Competition in 1998 and the third prize at Zwickau's 2000 Robert Schumann Competition. During his career he has played for the most renowned concert institutions, such as Milan’s Serate Musicali, Turin’s Unione Musicale, Padua’s Amici della Musica, Pesaro's Ente Concerti, Verona’s Amici della Musica. He has performed in Russia, United States, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Great Britain, Poland, Ireland, Serbia, Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates. He has played as a soloist with Milan’s Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra, Zwickau Symphony Orchestra, Milan Symphony Orchestra Giuseppe Verdi, Pescara Symphony Orchestra conducted by Donato Renzetti. He is the pianist of the ensemble Sentieri selvaggi, with whom he has performed at the Roman Philarmonic Academy, Turin’s Music September, Milan’s Teatro Alla Scala, the New York Bang on a Can Marathon, Moscow’s Dom, Mantua’s Literature Festival, Perugia’s Amici della Musica, Bologna’s Musica Insieme, the Venice Biennial, among other locations, often presenting contemporary composers’ premieres and collaborating with composers such as Louis Andriessen, Michael Nyman, David Lang, James MacMillan. He duets with the singer Cristina Zavalloni, with whom he has performed at Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza, Pesaro’s Rossini Theater, Modena’s S. Carlo Theater, Cremona’s Ponchielli Theater, the Tashkent’s Ilkhom-XX Festival, the West Cork Festival, the Warsaw Castle Festival, the Cheltenham Festival and the Quirinale Concerts. Moreover, he plays with cellist Sandro Laffranchini with whom he has won the New York Web Music Competition. He collaborates with Turin’s RAI Symphony Orchestra, with Reggio Emilia’s Aterballetto, Lugano’s Ticino Musica ensemble, the soloists of Alla Scala Philharmonic Orchestra, and has taken part in Cristina Zavalloni’s show Con tutto il mio amore (‘With all my love’), a homage to Cathy Berberian staged at Reggio Emilia’s Ariosto Theater and at Turin’s Royal Theater. He has just produced a CD of solo performances, released by Bottega Discantica, with music pieces by Bartòk, Stravinsky, De Falla and Milhaud. He also practices jazz music, as both pianist and composer.
