ROLES INVERTED

If he were to be cast in a role for a film, Beethoven would certainly play the father: titanic, firm, solemn. Reckless and impertinent Mozart, on the other hand, would definitely play the part of the son. But historically and chronologically speaking, those roles were inverted. These two masterpieces show the degree to which Ludwig marvelously took his cue from Wolfgang – and nearly copied him!
