Orchestral MITOlogy

Auditorium Giovanni Agnelli - Lingotto / at 09:00 PM

Orchestre et Choeur
de l’Opéra de Lyon
Daniele Rustioni

Although Lyon and Torino are twin cities, as cultural, “magical” hubs, they have yet to fully develop and exploit the kind of synergy that lies in the waiting. Hopefully these two concerts will mark the beginning of a tradition of making beautiful music together, as they say. The potential is there. We send out a warm welcome to the Orchestra and Choir of the Opéra de Lyon, conducted by the theater’s musical director, Daniele Rustioni, who happens to be Italian. These performances are also a first step in Torino’s quest for the honors of being named 2033 European Culture Capital. For this fantastic double concert featuring Arnold Schönberg’s Pelléas und Mélisande and Maurice Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé, thanks also go out to the City of Lyon for its efforts in promoting the event.
