Built in 2003 next to the Mediolanum Forum in Assago, the Theater of Moon features today’s most innovative technology in theatrical production. Designed to host sprawling sets for musicals, the theater boasts an 800-square-meter stage, a proscenium more than 16 meters long, and a light bridge that accommodates 400 lights. Seating capacity: 1,730, with excellent visibility. In its first season the Theatre of Moon became Italy’s most attended theater, welcoming some 180,000 spectators. Thanks to the experience of Saverio Marconi and the Rancia theater company, programming of performances has contributed to the creation of a thriving community of talented performers in Italy. Besides musicals, the Theatre of Moon also stages concerts, performance series, TV productions and business conventions.
