Born in New York city, diverse generes of music continuously filled the rooms of the El Barrio based apartment where she grew up. Joyce while in her teens entered into one of the most prestigious high schools in New York City, which was introduced to the world in the film "FAME". It was during her attendance at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School Of The Music and the Performing Arts where she began to focus on studying music. After her first year at College she starts the career of model and does her first journey in Europe where she works for some year in the fashion world. After relocating to Milan, during her freshman years of the Italian lifestyle, she joined with two musicians and they formed the group 3*D. The group recorded a cover version of Toto’s Georgy Porgy and the track was stylishly remixed by JP “Bluey” Maunick of Incognito fame and by Steve Lyon. With the latter remixing the whole project entitled “Deep Inside” on Sony/Tristar. After having U.S. success with the song the group unfortunately faced difficulties and was forced to retire. But that didn’t stop Joyce in her tracks as she continued on a road that would bring her many other opportunities. Joyce has had the chance to work with many well-known Italian and international artists such as Paolo Conte, Randy Crawford, Ron, Donna Summer, Laura Pausini, Elio e Le Storie Tese, Toto Cotugno, Andrea Mingardi, The Blues Bros. Band, Eddie Floyd, Ronan Keating and renown disco diva Gloria Gaynor with whom she had for a 6 year role as a backing singer during her Italian tours and European performances. However, her primary genere of music and style is jazz and blues. Joyce still continues to demonstrate her talents and more than often performs at numerous jazz and blues festivals in Italy and around Europe. She has participated at events such as the Umbria Jazz Festival, Rapperswil Blues & Jazz Festival, Trasimeno Blues, Mantova Music Festival and many, many more. Not straying far from her gospel roots, she is the leader of the group GospeL TimeS who have already proven their excellence during many performances in various music festivals and recorded a gospel cd entitled Blues 2 Jazz 2 Gospel 2.
