This story recounts a leg of the Giro d’Italia (Italy’s premier cycling event) that was cancelled just moments before the start due to weather conditions. The day was foggy, the wind blew. Nonetheless, two teammates – ranked last – set out. It was a tough ride, but they made it to the finish, thanks no doubt to the cheers and help of the crowds that came out to watch. Finishing the race turned out to be more important than winning. ___________ for children ages 4 and up
