Bartabas – director, set designer, and expert horseman – brings us an extraordinarily creative universe, blending equestrian skills, music, dance and theater, in an original and unique format: equestrian theater. Following the huge success of Le centaure et l’animal, featuring Buto dancer Ko Murobushi (Torinodanza 2011), Bartabas now unveils Andres Marin, a Flamenco dancer, in a performance that combines with stunning precision the movements of equestrian dance and the gestures of Flamenco. Golgota is a modern-day Via Crucis in which the knight welcomes the dancer into his world. Death, nature, power, beauty: horses and men join forces in a shamanic ritual that smacks of the Passion of Christ.
