This performance recounts the childhood of siblings Amadé and Nannerl Mozart, their lengthy travels throughout Europe, their performances as child prodigies, and the great passion the two shared for music. During the story the audience listens to a sonata for piano by Mozart and, as in a game, must guess the themes of the piece. Each musical phrase becomes a character who tells a fanciful story, creating a fairy tale in sonata form.
