“MITO cities”, a new initiative to enliven Milano during the month of September with appointments outside of the Festival program, will give the possibility for any musician to play on an open stage in Piazza Mercanti. Three concerts will be held every Monday of the Festival from 1 to 3 p.m., each with its own theme. If you’d like to play just send your curriculum not later than July 31, 2009 to the email address c.mitoperlacitta@comune.milano.it indicating which concert you would like to participate in:

• September 7th 2009: Classical and Jazz piano
• September 14th 2009: Ethnic Music (without amplification)
• September 21st 2009: Wind and or String chamber music

The artists selected will have 20 minutes in which to play a program of their choice adhering to the theme of that particular concert. Click here for more information concerning other “MITO cities” events.
