With a seating capacity of 1592, Teatro Regio features a 250+ square meter stage equipped with six movable decks, above which is a high-tech 27-meter-high flies structure. Today’s Teatro Regio, designed by Carlo Mollino, was completed in 1973 after a 1936 fire destroyed the original structure, which was inaugurated in 1740 and over time underwent various modifications. Personages who attended performances here included Napoleon and Carlo Alberto, openings included Manon Lescaut and La Bohéme.
