The new seat of the Chamber of Commerce of Lecco “Casa dell’Economia” was inaugurated in April 2009. It occupies the area of a public building realized in the ’60 intended to be a hostel for students and retired workers. In 2004 the Chamber began the redevelopment and the renovation of the building and the current seat, formed by a “tower” and a “lower trapezius”, occupies an area of 6.820 square meters.
The Auditorium, situated in the low building, can accommodate over three hundred and fifty people and it has the most advanced technologies, making it a place for events, conferences, concerts, exhibitions, etc. Many cultural events and economic conferences have been hosted at the Auditorium, from the inauguration till today, to emphasize the structure’s multifunctionality.
In the Auditorium there is a collection of works by Mimmo Paladino dedicated to Pinocchio.
