Prof. Éva Kollár

Prof. Éva Kollár, works for the Choral Conductor’s Faculty of the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy Budapest /State University/ where she is the head of the Choral Conducting Doctor Programme. She obtained her degree and position as „Prof. habil” at this Institution. On a number of occasions she has given lecture tours abroad on the Hungarian Contemporary music and also given conducting courses in Europe, Canada and Japan. In 2013 she was the atelier-leader with the Hungarian choral music in Vaison-la-Romaine in the frame of the famous “XXI. Choralies - A Choeur Joie Festival”. Mme Kollár is adjudicator at choral competitions at home and abroad. She is the honorary president of the Association of Hungarian Choirs and Orchestras (KOTA), the Vice-president of the Hungarian Kodály Society. She was working for Europa Cantat and EGEC for decades, now she is advisor for the organization ECA. Prof. Kollár is the member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts. Prof. Kollár has founded the BUDAPEST MONTEVERDI CHOIR in 1972. This choir is one of the most well-known semi professional ensemble in Hungary who has won many prizes and GRAND-PRIX at international competitions. They have many radio - TV - and CD recordings by Hungaroton, Carus and by their own edition.
