He graduated from Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, in 1981 he joined the Hungarian State Opera House. In 1983 he was awarded the first prize at the Singing Competition of the Belgian Radio and Television. At the beginning of his career he mainly sang lyrical tenor roles, but later he gradually became a heroic tenor. During recent years he has performed in almost every European country, in Asia, in Australia. Major roles: Hermann (Tchaikovsky: The Queen of Spades), Bánk (Erkel: Bánk bán), Canio (Leoncavallo: Pagliacci), Calaf (Puccini: Turandot), Manrico (Verdi: Il trovatore), Radames (Verdi: Aida), Otello (Verdi: Otello), Siegmund (Wagner: Die Walküre), Tannhäuser (Wagner: Tannhäuser).
