SESSION

Session, coproduced by Torinodanza, is Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s most recent work and a milestone in her development as a choreographer, where the focus is on bringing together very different dance traditions. Session features her dialogue with traditional Irish dances and the greatest living practitioner of the genre, Colin Dunne. These two incredibly different artists unearth all-new possibilities for contact as they exploit Irish rhythms and sounds, and the echoes of Eastern melodies enriched by electro-acoustic weaves and polyphonic choruses, extending their respective choreographic languages to create an ultra-original fusion.
