Chiesa di San Marco / at 04:00 PM

Re-evoking the Vespers of the early 1700s, this performance brings together some of Antonio Caldara’s most powerful music, culminating with Magnifcat, which Johann Sebastian Bach enjoyed so much that he transcribed it for orchestra and “borrowed” it.
