A businessman and a girl’s high-school field trip accidentally awake the defeated samurai warriors of Yamagata, who return to the village of Oshakabe as zombies. They try to take revenge on the descendants of the town folk who double crossed them, thus fulfilling their ancient curse. The greedy businessman and the mayor of the town want to turn the site of the shrines into a money-making scheme replete with spa hotels and theme parks. Our schoolgirl hero Mikayo and her classmates must use all their courage and resourcefulness to defeat the samurai zombies. With the help of Mikayo’s mobile phone and of the local barber, turned shrine tender, they battle the zombies and restore order to the town.
