FOLK CELLO

A journey through the groove that folk songs have carved in highbrow music. From Armenia to Trentino, from Sicily and Salento to Australia, Giovanni Sollima has used his cello to rework melodies that are usually kept well outside the reach of concert halls. What’s more, he’s lined them up with the most iconic of Bach’s Suites.
