Narration, songs, a show based on the simplicity of the Apocryphal Gospels and the poetry of De André’s album La Buona novella (The Good News), in which a 30-year-old De André and a group of contemporary artists present ancient characters as they explore the human and the divine.
Ella and Kate, Joe and Sam, Jones, Franziska, a 20-year-old general: The “other heroes” given a voice by Edgar Lee Masters and Fabrizio De André. Echoes from the hill overlooking Spoon River and the lyrics of Riccardo Mannerini are intoned and recited to once again give life to love, war and the routine of men and women who “have not won”.
